It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Winston Atherton, affectionately known as "Win" on the 15th of January at the age of 83. Win was the beloved husband of Julie and will be dearly missed. Win was a much-loved father to Sue, David, Peter & Lynne. Win was a caring Stepfather to Lyndsey & Steven Win's love, warm presence and sense of humour touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on his family and friends. A true gentleman who loved his family, Win's love and memory will endure in our hearts. A Requiem Funeral Service will be held at Holy Family Church on Friday 23rd February at 2:00pm, followed by cremation at Widnes Crematorium for 3pm. Family flowers only please. The family kindly requests donations to Holy Family Church. Donations will also contribute towards a memorial bench in Cronton Village. A Celebration of Win's life will take place immediately after the funeral at Jaguar Land Rover Sports and Social Club (The Fords Club), 77 Cronton Road, Widnes, WA3 5AJ.
